The Michigan Guppy Breeders Show was held at the Double Tree Hotel at the Detroit Airport over the weekend of June 4th and 5th. There were 498 total entries. For complete results Click Here However the show was totally dominated by two people, Stan Shubel and Joe Grimes. Stan had 23 wins, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Best of Show Tank, 1st, 2nd and 4th in Best of Show Delta and 1st in Breeder Male. Joe had 20 wins including 3rd spot in Best of Show Delta, 4th in Best of Show Tank, 2nd in Best of Show Female and 2nd in Breeder Male. This was an amazing performance by both of these great breeders.

We begin with the photo on the right of Joe Grimes and Alan Opdyke. Joe presently serves as IFGA Show Rotation Chairman, and Alan is President of IFGA.
Just below is a group shot of attendees on the left, and a view of the busy registration table on the right.
The two exhibit rooms are shown in the lower two photos.
In most cases these photos are the 1st place winners in their classes. Where there are two fish in the shot it is a Tank entry. If there is only one fish it is a Delta entry. You can consult the show results table and look up 1st place winners in the appropriate class. They will usually be the owner of the fish.
Check out the magnificent dorsal on the Half Black Red just below. And yes, the Caudal and Dorsal really were that red!
