No fish will be allowed to be
removed from the show bench prior to the scheduled debenching time
unless prior arrangements have been made. All fish need to be
checked by a New England Guppy Associate prior to removal
from show room.

Prior notification is appreciated.
Shipped in entries must be
received before 5:00 PM Friday June 25, 2010 or they will
not be entered in the show. Do not ship entries to the
school as it is summer vacation and there will be no one
there to accept your entries.
If shipped by mail, use the "no
signature required' option.
Entries will be shipped back to
exhibitors by your choice of USExpress or Priority Mail, Fed Ex
or UPS by E.T. Mellor. Exhibitors must have an existing account with
Fed Ex or UPS and supply a pre-printed shipping label, if you
want your entries sent back by these shippers.
SHOW RULES:
1. Exhibitor will determine the
class of entry. Assistance will be available at the show prior to
registration.
2. All entries improperly classified will be disqualified.
3. Any additions to clear water (e.g. plants, decorations, gravel or
colored water) are not allowed and will result in disqualification.
4. NEW ENGLAND FANCY GUPPY ASSOCIATION and the IFGA assume no
responsibility for the death of any fish.
5. All entries must be born and raised in the exhibitor’s tanks.
6. Fish will be judged against a uniform black background with a
combination of overhead halogen, incandescent and natural lighting.
7. Judging will be according to IFGA standards and all decisions of
the judges will be final.
8. All entry fees must be paid at time of registration. Shipped
entries, which are to be returned, must include return postage fees
and mailing label.
9. All tanks for display of fish will be supplied by N.E.F.G.A.
10. Sale of fish, other than through the scheduled auction, is
strictly prohibited and may result in forfeiture of points received
at show.
11. Fish that are received dead or that die during the show will not
be returned, unless specifically requested. Returning dead fish can
contaminate the live fish being returned.
12. Bags for returning shipped in fish must be included in shipment.
Enough bags should be included to double bag every individual fish.
Return bags of minimum size 3” x 10” are required per IFGA
rules. However, we prefer 4” x 14”.
13. The auction will be a
standard verbal auction. Only exhibitors in the show may enter fish
in the auction. Entries to be auctioned must be clearly noted on
entry form. Females of the same strain must be included with
all show males and males must be included with all show females to
be auctioned. Exhibitors will receive the 50 – 50 split only for
pairs, trios or reverse trios. All other fish will be considered a
donation to the N.E.F.G.A. and auctioned last. Additional
trios or pairs not entered in the show may be sent to be placed in
the auction and should be clearly marked with the breeders name,
strain and age of fish. N.E.F.G.A. will retain 50% of the sale of
all auctioned pairs, trios and reverse trios, all other combinations
or single fish will be considered a donation to the N.E.F.G.A.
Non-exhibited fish must be bred and raised by the exhibitor and must
be from IFGA quality strains. Any fish not receiving an opening bid
will be retained by N.E.F.G.A.

Best of show
1st – 4th place - plaques and award cards.
Best of Show will be presented for Single Male, Tank Males and
Single Females.

ENTRIES
Single male and single female entries will be displayed in
rectangular 45 fl.oz. plastic tanks filled with 32 fl.oz. water. A
female may be added with the male but will not be judged.
Tank entries consist of two matched males and will be displayed in a
1 gallon rectangular plastic tank. A female may be added but will
not be judged.
Breeder entries consist of 5 matched males or three matched females
and will be displayed in a 2 ½ gallon rectangular plastic tank. Two
females may be added to the breeder male entry but will not be
judged.
Junior class is open to anyone 16 years of age or younger that has
raised their own fish.
Novice class is open to anyone who has never won an annual
award, other than Junior class or 3rd or 4th
in Novice.
