ACCOMMODATIONS
Reservation cutoff date is JULY 13, 2019. After July 13, the rates are per the hotels standard rates so book early.
Call 615-895-5555 and ask for the Deep South Fancy Guppy NATIONAL GUPPY ASSOCIATION room block. Rates are $109.00 Plus taxes of 9.75% and 7.5% for what they call a Double/Double plus tax. Reservations that cancel less than 48 hours prior to arrival are subject to a charge of one night’s room and tax and will be applied to the credit card on file for the reservation. Guest occupying the room will be responsible for all room, tax and incidental charges. Hotel Check-in is 4:00PM and Check out time is 11:00 AM.
Nashville International Airport (BNA) and the Grand Ole Opry are both about 30 miles northwest of the Hotel. The Hotel is conveniently located off Interstate 24.
Directions from Nashville. Take I-24 East to the Murfreesboro exit. Exit 78-B, then briefly east on Old Fort Parkway (Hwy 96). The Doubletree Murfreesboro is on the left, at the third traffic light, visible from the exit on the north side of Hwy. 96 at 1850 Old Fort Parkway.

MARK SHIPMENT FOR NO SIGNATURE
All shipped-in entries will be received at the hotel starting Thursday, July 25th and must be received by 4:00 PM, Friday, July 26th, 2019. Entries must include completed entry forms and exhibitor’s phone number. Remember, you must send two copies of your show form along with your entries. All entry fees must be prepaid. Use the carrier’s ‘no signature required’ option when available. Sufficient return shipping fare, bags and return labels must be included if fish are to be returned. Indicate whether or not you want award cards or award plaques on the entry form. For instance many exhibitors indicate "Best of Show Plaques Only". No C.O.D. shipments will be accepted.
Entries will be shipped back to exhibitors by your choice of US Postal Service Express or Priority Mail, Fed Ex, or UPS. Exhibitors utilizing Fed Ex or UPS must have an existing account with, Fed Ex or UPS. For any return shipping, Exhibitors must include a pre-printed shipping label.
RULES COVERING THIS SHOW
1. All entries must be registered by 2:00 PM, local time, Saturday, July 27th, 2019.
2. Fish will be judged visually according to IFGA standards. Uniform black background and available fluorescent and incandescent lighting will be used.
3. All entries must be born in the exhibitor’s tanks and raised by the exhibitor.
4. Exhibitors will determine the class in which their entries will compete. Assistance in classifications will be available, if needed, prior to entry registration.
5. Entries improperly classified will be disqualified and not judged.
6. Tanks will be furnished. No gravel, plants or decorative items are allowed. No color is to be added to the water.
7. All entry fees must be paid at registration. No entry fees will be refunded after fish are benched.
8. No fish will be removed from the Show bench until 8:00 AM Sunday, and only by persons authorized by the Show Chairperson. De-benched fish entry numbers will be checked by a DSFGA representative – no exceptions. For de-benching needs other than stated here, exhibitor must contact the Show Chairperson after benching their fish.
9. Fish shall not be offered for sale in the Show room or any other public place associated with the hotel, except through the official DSFGA auction.
10. Every precaution will be taken against loss of fish; however, DSFGA is not responsible for any loss of fish.
11. Bags for returning shipped in fish must be included in shipment. Bags must be 3" x 10" or larger. 4” X 12” preferred by DSFGA.
12. Breather Bags May be used to ship fish as long as new, unused Breather Bags and Bandings are included for the return shipment.
13. The Deep South Fancy Guppy Associates take no financial or legal responsibility for injury, death or other loss of the entrants in the show. By entering in the show, the contestant accepts this waiver of responsibility.
14. Fish that are received dead or that die during the show will not be returned.
15. All entries being benched will be placed in the next available position within the class. No one, other than individuals appointed by the show chairman may move or re-arrange tanks already positioned on the show bench prior to judging.
AUCTION
SATURDAY JULY 27th 7:00PM
Registration Prior to Auction for Participation Required!
Exhibitors need to clearly indicate fish for auction on their entry forms at the time of registration. Only exhibitors in the show may enter fish in the auction. It is preferred that females from the same strain are included with any males to be auctioned. Males for auction that do not include females constituting a pair, trio or reverse trio will automatically become a full donation. Males should be included with any females to be auctioned. Likewise female entries to be auctioned without males constituting a pair, trio or reverse trio will become a full donation. Non-exhibited fish, freshwater aquarium plants and dry goods may be entered in the auction only with the permission of the Show Chairperson. Any non-exhibited fish for placement in the auction need to be clearly marked with the breeder’s name, strain and age of fish. Non-exhibited fish are limited to Show quality fish and must be approved by the Show Chairman prior to the start of the auction. DSFGA will retain fifty percent of all floor sales and any non-auctioned fish. There is a $3.00 minimum opening bid per item from the floor unless stated by auctioneer.
ENTRY GROUPS
Single Entries: to consist of 1 male or 1 female.
One female may be added to the male entry, but will not be judged.
Tank Entries: to consist of 2 matched males.
One female may be added, but will not be judged.
Breeder Males: to consist of 5 matched males.
Two females may be added, but will not be judged.
All colors will be judged as one class.
Breeder Females: to consist of 3 matched females.
All colors will be judged as one class.
Junior Class: Open to anyone 16 years of age or under at the start of the show season.
Novice Class: Open to anyone who has never won a 1st or 2nd place IFGA Annual Award.
ENTRY FEES
Single (male or female) - $2.00
Tank Entry - $3.00
Breeder Males or Females - $4.00
Junior(16 years or younger) - free
AWARDS
First Place winners will receive a plaque.
Second, Third and Fourth places will receive IFGA award cards.
First Place Best of Show; Delta, Female, Tank, will receive the I.F.G.A. acrylic award.
Second, Third and Fourth place Best of Show will receive award plaques.
Exhibitors may decide if they want award plaques and/or award cards when entering a show, by marking their show form as such. If you need any show forms, all forms are available in the Show Section of the www.IFGA.org website.
