CLOSEST AIRPORT:

The airport serving the area is the Salt Lake City International Airport. It is approximately 15 miles from the hotel (No shuttle to hotel).  

FISH ROOM TOURS:

Three UFGA members will be opening their fish rooms for a tour:  Bryce Wilson, David Corneal, and Rick Grigsby.

We will meet in the hotel lobby at 5 pm to get maps and arrange rides. RSVP

This year we ask that you let us know in advance if attending.  We are doing so to help with planning for the fish room tours, and we would like to print name tags.  The name tags would need to be printed before the event.  When you RSVP, please let us know if you will have a car, who you already plan on transporting, and if you are willing to drive anyone else.

  1. Entries must be received by 5:00 PM on June 28, 2019.  The only excepting will need to be approved by either of the show chairmen.

  2. As a courtesy, please notify show chairs when you ship.

  3. Use the carrier’s “no signature required” option if available.

  4. Collect shipments will not be accepted.

  5. Sufficient return fare must be included if fish are to be returned or fish will be auctioned.

  6. All entry fees must be paid at time of registration.

  7. Shipped entries which are to be returned must include return postage fees and mailing label along     with bags for returning fish.

  8. Breather bags may be used for shipping to and from show.

  9. If breather bags are used new unused breather bags MUST be supplied for return of entry, otherwise fish will be returned in standard bags as per IFGA rules.  

  10. Minimum bag size: 3” x 10”.

  11. Check with your local post office for exact delivery time.

AUCTION:

                                                  10:00 am       Auctions begins, there will be no viewing once the auction begins!

 

 

  1. The auction will be a standard verbal auction.

  2. UFGA will retain 50% of the sale of all auctioned fish or other items.

  3. All fish to be auctioned must include a male and a female of the same strain.

  4. Any single male or female will only be auctioned with all proceeds being retained by UFGA as stated in the new IFGA bylaws.

  5. Entries to be auctioned must be clearly noted on the entry show form.

  6. Additional pairs and trios may be placed in the auction and should be clearly marked with breeder’s name and strain of fish.

  7. Any fish not receiving an opening bid will be retained by UFGA.

  8. At this time, CASH only (this may be updated)

 

RULES COVERING THIS SHOW:

  1. Fish will be judged visually in accordance with IFGA rules, uniform black

  2. background with fluorescent and incandescent lights. Window drapes in room will be closed.

  3. Exhibitors to determine the class in which their entries will compete. Assistance will be available upon request to determine classification.

  4. All entries improperly classified will be disqualified.

  5. Tanks will be furnished. No gravel, plants or decorative items will be allowed.

  6. Every precaution will be taken against loss or hazard of any kind. UFGA cannot assume responsibility for any loss.

  7. All entries must be born and raised in the exhibitor’s tanks.

  8. All DOA or DOB fish will not be returned due to contamination issues.

  9. Entry forms to be submitted in duplicate. Indicate on form whether award cards or plaques are desired. Mark on form any fish to be auctioned.

  10. No one other than those individuals appointed by show chair persons may move or rearrange tanks already positioned on show bench prior to judging. Any tanks being benched should be placed in next available position within the class.

  11. Sale of fish, other than through UFGA Sunday auction, is strictly prohibited!

  12. Entry forms may be printed from the IFGA website: www.ifga.org under Show Section.

 

AWARDS:

 

    1st place winners:                      Award

    2nd-4th place winners:               Receive award cards if requested on entry form

    All 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th place, and Best of Show receive awards


 

CLASS DESCRIPTION & FEE:

Single entry:        Consist of one male or female in a 0.5-gallon tank.

                          A female may be added to a male entry but will not be judged.                       $ 2.00

Tank entry:         Consist of two matched males in a 1-gallon tank.                                            $ 3.00

Breeder entries:   Consist of 5 matched males or 3 matched females in a 1.5-gallon tank.             $ 4.00

Junior class:        Open to anyone 16 years of age or younger at start of show season.                FREE

Novice class:       Open to anyone who has never won a 1st or 2nd place IFGA Annual Award.

There are four probationary classes for the 2019 show season: H/B White Delta, H/B White Tank and All Color Widetail, All Color Widetail Tank.

NOTE: These 4 new classes are probationary classes and will remain so for all of 2019.  The classes will be sponsored by the  IFGA and year-end Annual Awards will be given out.

Points WILL NOT count toward Grand Overall Male, however.  Half-black White and Widetails (Caudal angle = 80 degrees plus) may continue to be shown in the H/B Pastel and regular color classes without disqualification and all points will count toward the class awards as well as Grand Overall Male.
